Neevedita Patwardhan

I am a self-taught artist, raised in India and currently located in New Jersey, USA. My parents had a defining influence in my development as an artist. They taught me to be brave, innovative, and unafraid to experiment while navigating the vibrant world of colors. They opened my eyes to nature all around me, which is a never-ending source of inspiration for me.

Over the years, I have explored different art forms to understand various techniques, materials and textures and how they work together. This enables me to visualize the materials in totally different perspectives, for example using dryer sheets to create interesting backgrounds or using the tops of dates as flowers…

I get inspired by the fluidity in the composition or different colors/textures playing off of one another. All of my artwork represents this fluidity and color play, whether it is the paint pour, or mixed media abstracts.
